Course Outline

Module 1: What does transformation actually mean?


Module 2: Understanding how all the “transformation “pieces of legislation and/or policies fit together

  1. Section covers aims in the different pieces of legislation between Employment equity Act, BBB-EE, Skills Development act
  2. Policies that impact and must incorporate transformation: procurement policies and practices and Corporate social Responsibility


Module 3: Why is it important for your business to have a transformation policy?


Module 4: Aligning recruitment, skills development, succession planning, talent management to transformation in your business

  1. Policy reviews and alignment
  2. Consequence for non-compliance with legislation or policies


Module 5: How do you develop a transformation strategy for your business?

  1. Getting buy in
  2. Designing a strategy and statement to align with organisational intent and values
  3. Designing a score card
  4. Setting targets
  5. Reporting and developing stretch targets
  6. Establishing and independent monitoring mechanism


Module 6: Importance of communicating your strategy and goals

  1. Internally to your people
  2. Externally to clients ,potential clients and society


Why this course?

Once the Employment Equity plan is filed, and some basic principles embedded in the organisation a mistake many leaders make is to believe that they have then delivered on the necessary transformation requirements.

The course is aimed at highlighting the aspects where total transformation is embedded in your organisation, including aligning policies, sensitising employees to issues of transformation and cross pollinating these diversity principles in the business. 

Sessions will be interactive with group work as well.
